About Sammut Legal
Sammut Legal is a Malta-based law firm built for businesses that want senior attention, clear advice and direct access to the person responsible for the judgment.
Sammut Legal is intentionally focused. We do not try to be everything to everyone. We concentrate on the legal disciplines that matter most to companies operating in the digital economy: technology law, data privacy, cybersecurity compliance, intellectual property and business law.
Being boutique lets us stay close to the work, close to the client, and close to the commercial decision that needs to be made.
We are happy to be boutique because it keeps the relationship direct. Clients know who is responsible for the advice, decisions move faster, and the work is shaped around the actual issue rather than a large-firm process.
That model matters most when a legal issue is tied to a business decision: a contract needs to close, a product needs to launch, a regulatory question needs a clear answer, or an IP position needs to be fixed before value is exposed.

Good legal advice should make the next decision clearer.
Our role is to turn legal complexity into practical commercial choices. We do not over-engineer solutions or create unnecessary process. We aim to give clients a clear view of their legal position, the real risks, and the next sensible step.
Clients come to Sammut Legal when the issue has legal, technical and commercial consequences at the same time. The advice needs to be accurate, but also usable.
Our clients include early-stage technology businesses, established Malta and EU operators, companies adopting digital tools, and organisations dealing with GDPR, NIS2, IP, software contracts and commercial growth.
A boutique model only works if responsibility is clear. The partner is the main trust anchor and remains close to the matter, while the wider firm supports delivery, research, documentation and client responsiveness.

Keith leads the firm’s work with technology companies, digital operators and growing businesses navigating Malta and EU legal requirements.
His role is to bring senior legal judgment to issues where contracts, regulation, data, IP and commercial strategy overlap.
Firm members assist with research, drafting, regulatory tracking and matter preparation.
The team helps keep advice organised, responsive and aligned with business deadlines.
Where useful, the firm draws on focused support across privacy, technology and commercial work.
Malta gives the firm a practical base for English-language commercial advice, EU regulatory work, technology businesses, gaming operators, privacy matters and cross-border commercial activity.
From Malta, Sammut Legal advises on both local legal requirements and EU frameworks that affect businesses operating across borders.
